The Fire Within

So I found out that my 9-5 will be eliminating my remote position very soon.
For most, this could be tragic. For me, I feel this has lit the fire within me, to go out into the world and share my passion with others and work for myself. It is not in my wheelhouse to go into the office. I declined my 40hr work from home life to be interrupted and to put my toddler in child care. Who will tend to my garden, cook all of my meals, and keep up on the housework, while I am confined to a small corner of a shared office with views of the park, twiddling my thumbs throughout the day?  I reject turning my 40hr work week into a 50hr work week where 10hrs are on your own time, with the daily commute in Traffic Hell, just to get to the office.  I am done doing work that isn't enriching for my soul,  I am moving on with my life.
Opportunistically, timing is everything and I am moving into a position to practice Functional Nutrition. My 9-5 has helped me grow while inadvertently providing me some of the best business and marketing advice, which I intend to use in my new endeavor. I insist on filling the gap between physicians and the human body, sharing my passion for helping others heal through root cause resolution by using food as medicine and enjoying the journey. Ok, bye, bye!

Set Goals That Inspire, Not Overwhelm: Harnessing Breath, Yoga, Functional Nutrition, and Small Steps to Thrive

Set Goals That Inspire, Not Overwhelm: Harnessing Breath, Yoga, Functional Nutrition, and Small Steps to Thrive Every morning, the sun rises—slowly, steadily, and inch by inch. At first, a faint glow appears on the horizon, followed by a single ray of light. Gradually, the sun peeks over the earth, one fragment at a time, until its full brilliance shines. Our goals are much like the sunrise. Progress happens incrementally, with each small step building on the last. These steps, often overlooked, are the micro-goals and habits that create lasting change. I was reminded of this truth during a simple morning routine. While running the track with my daughter before school, I got caught up racing her and a friend. As I pushed forward, I noticed she’d slowed down, walking with her friends. Instead of trying to catch her in one exhausting sprint—something I knew I couldn’t sustain—I focused on a smaller, attainable goal: closing the gap halfway. Little by little, I made progress, eventually c...
