Healing is a journey that takes a listening ear, unbiased curiosity, and healing hands.

Let’s face it; we usually wait until a symptom occurs before we visit the doctor. For many individuals, it takes multiple symptoms to arise before we think we have a big enough issue to see a physician. Upon making the appointment to see the doctor, we spend weeks sitting on the diagnosis from doctor google, who gives us the belief we are going to die. On the day of your appointment, you are anxious, stressed out, and tired. You inform the physician that you are sure you have said google diagnosis; they complete their assessment and send you off for blood work to assure you that you are fine. The physician then prescribes a medication that will treat your most prominent symptom, with a reminder to schedule your follow-up appointment to renew your prescription in 6 weeks. Your physician has fulfilled your request to manage your symptoms, yet you still feel anxious, stressed, and tired. You have new symptoms, and you’re left confused and feeling unheard. Does any of that sound familiar to you?

I lived that life once upon a time, not so far in the distant past. I am grateful that I had a practitioner that saw me for me and not just my symptoms or diagnosis. My doctor took the time to listen to my concerns and asked all the right questions. He recognized that I was a young mother of two that had the desire to run and play and to be able to keep up with her children. Had the physician not recommended that I change my diet and lifestyle for a shot at remission from Graves Disease and only offered the pharmaceuticals, I am positive that I would still wake up every day feeling anxious, stressed out, and tired with an array of exasperated symptoms. The desire to feel normal is a powerful force. It takes the focus of shifting our mindset and allowing ourselves to be honest and open with ourselves and the practitioner that has the desire to offer you a listening ear, unbiased curiosity, and healing hands; to provide you with a deeper understanding of self, education on your individual needs, and the support you need along the way to reach your desired level of health.

I promise to be fully present, actively listen and have empathy by meeting you with curiosity to reveal those deeper insights which will allow for the growth of an organic and meaningful relationship that will change the trajectory of your life.

Ok, bye, bye.

Story Time! The Elixir of Health: Lucy's Pediatric Health Journey

Lucy was a bright seven-year-old who lived in the heart of Greenwood, a town surrounded by ancient oaks. Lily enjoyed exploring the Outdoors, Arts and crafts, playing music, and playing with friends.  However, as the seasons changed, Lucy's health began to decline, and her once-vibrant spirit was replaced by uncertainty.   Despite many visits to the doctors, Lucy's parents, Mary and Luther, couldn't find the answers they were looking for. It was only when Grandma Elizabeth arrived for a visit that they started to see a glimmer of hope. Grandma Elizabeth was a wise and nurturing woman who believed in and the power and practice of using nature to heal. One evening, while they were all sitting in the cozy kitchen, Grandma Elizabeth introduced the idea that our bodies are like gardens, and the food we eat is like the seeds we sow. She explained that some foods can make our "garden" wilt, while others can make it flourish. Lucy was curious and asked Grandma Elizabeth t...

From Shadows to Light: How 'The Woman in Me' Amplified My Healing Journey

From Shadows to Light: How 'The Woman in Me' Amplified My Healing Journey As a child, I used to try to manipulate energy to bring joy to those around me. In retrospect, I recognize that this approach was far from healthy. Seeking solace in solitude, I often was immersed in the natural world, expressing my innermost self through singing, dancing, drawing, coloring, and writing. Nonetheless, life's traumatic twists and turns made me lose my light and sense of balance. As I transitioned to adulthood, I had to unlearn many coping mechanisms that once served me.  Recently, I delved into a story that deeply resonated with me, reaffirming my belief that every action invariably shapes our lives. The magic lies in those moments when something—or someone—helps us connect the dots, revealing insights about ourselves. This personal realization might seem unfamiliar to many, yet I feel an undeniable urge to share my truth. Previously, I hesitated to express my emotions, apprehensive ...
