Healing is a journey that takes a listening ear, unbiased curiosity, and healing hands.

Let’s face it; we usually wait until a symptom occurs before we visit the doctor. For many individuals, it takes multiple symptoms to arise before we think we have a big enough issue to see a physician. Upon making the appointment to see the doctor, we spend weeks sitting on the diagnosis from doctor google, who gives us the belief we are going to die. On the day of your appointment, you are anxious, stressed out, and tired. You inform the physician that you are sure you have said google diagnosis; they complete their assessment and send you off for blood work to assure you that you are fine. The physician then prescribes a medication that will treat your most prominent symptom, with a reminder to schedule your follow-up appointment to renew your prescription in 6 weeks. Your physician has fulfilled your request to manage your symptoms, yet you still feel anxious, stressed, and tired. You have new symptoms, and you’re left confused and feeling unheard. Does any of that sound familiar to you?

I lived that life once upon a time, not so far in the distant past. I am grateful that I had a practitioner that saw me for me and not just my symptoms or diagnosis. My doctor took the time to listen to my concerns and asked all the right questions. He recognized that I was a young mother of two that had the desire to run and play and to be able to keep up with her children. Had the physician not recommended that I change my diet and lifestyle for a shot at remission from Graves Disease and only offered the pharmaceuticals, I am positive that I would still wake up every day feeling anxious, stressed out, and tired with an array of exasperated symptoms. The desire to feel normal is a powerful force. It takes the focus of shifting our mindset and allowing ourselves to be honest and open with ourselves and the practitioner that has the desire to offer you a listening ear, unbiased curiosity, and healing hands; to provide you with a deeper understanding of self, education on your individual needs, and the support you need along the way to reach your desired level of health.

I promise to be fully present, actively listen and have empathy by meeting you with curiosity to reveal those deeper insights which will allow for the growth of an organic and meaningful relationship that will change the trajectory of your life.

Ok, bye, bye.

Set Goals That Inspire, Not Overwhelm: Harnessing Breath, Yoga, Functional Nutrition, and Small Steps to Thrive

Set Goals That Inspire, Not Overwhelm: Harnessing Breath, Yoga, Functional Nutrition, and Small Steps to Thrive Every morning, the sun rises—slowly, steadily, and inch by inch. At first, a faint glow appears on the horizon, followed by a single ray of light. Gradually, the sun peeks over the earth, one fragment at a time, until its full brilliance shines. Our goals are much like the sunrise. Progress happens incrementally, with each small step building on the last. These steps, often overlooked, are the micro-goals and habits that create lasting change. I was reminded of this truth during a simple morning routine. While running the track with my daughter before school, I got caught up racing her and a friend. As I pushed forward, I noticed she’d slowed down, walking with her friends. Instead of trying to catch her in one exhausting sprint—something I knew I couldn’t sustain—I focused on a smaller, attainable goal: closing the gap halfway. Little by little, I made progress, eventually c...
